Club History
The Newtown Breakaways have a proud history with the Sydney Women's AFL.
Since the clubs inception in 2002 the Breakaways have featured in all but one grand final and have won more premierships than any other club.
In 2009 the Newtown Breakaways were named as the Club of the Decade.
The 2010 season brings a new set of challanges. With a new president at the helm and the retiring of some older players.
The club is looking to its returning stars to build experience and grow our new recruits to continue our legacy.
The Breakaways rely on our dedicated sponsors and supporters to help us get the job done.
We play as a team, vote on how our club will be operated and put our bodies on the line week in week out for our team mates.
